Halloween was great. All had a buddy. Even Joshua stayed home but had a couple friends stop by and help hand out candy. It was very busy in the neighborhood this year!
Julia had lots of angst about her costume but eventually was happy as "Lilo". This was her and Addie's first year trick or treating alone...till dark, at which point the adults met up and finished the night with them.
Gray had quite a crew come for dinner and trick or treating.
We ran into Gray and friends a few times. Matt was a lumberjack and I was a fall tree.
We also ran into some friends/students of mine...all little Elsas, in one phase or another.
By sundown, Allie's wig looked a little more Albert Einstein than Elsa and she was quite done trick or treating, so she and Matt called it a night.
Allie had another great cardio check!
Matt and the boys traveled to Myrtle Beach for a lacrosse tournament. We were all going to go, but heavy winds, rain and cold temps kept us at home. Sunday was nice for them, though, and they won all their games! At home, the girls and I enjoyed watching Frozen 2 and having a fun girls' weekend.
The Moores came to Hillsborough to do a walk through of their new place. We enjoyed having the boys come ice skating with the girls. They were hesitant at first. Maddox was a little grumpy about it and Sawyer just wanted to make sure he didn't "lose confidence" with too many falls, so they took some breaks, but overall picked up pretty well and had a good time!
Gray and Will, Hunter and Matt enjoyed a Duke basketball game.
Allie got cleaning at our house (with her "dishwashing clothes")...
...and at the Moores' new house.
Julia got her covid shot and had no symptoms.
That same weekend, Harper came to visit and the girls and I had a very Baker weekend hanging with her and them.
Joshua had his first high school basketball game. Didn't get to play much but he's working on it! Was very exciting to see him on the online broadcast. We'll go in person to see his next game.
We enjoyed Thanksgiving in Rock Hill where some of us ate a little...
...and some of us ate a lot.
So good to see Aunt Cheryl and the Leightons...it had been such a long time.
And of course good to see Mama and Daddy, though maybe seeing Daddy on the roof was a little bit scary! :)
We helped paint Jeannie's house.
Raven got lots of snuggles.
We had a fun family post-Thanksgiving night at Nanny and Pa's.
Not pictured: Matt got his old job back on the UNC rapid response team and will start in January. He's so thankful! I lost my voice for a week or so and that was a little rough, especially at work. Julia tried out for the ultimate frisbee team, but less than half made it and she was not chosen. Proud of her for trying, though! Julia and Allie are learning their parts for Nutcracker on Ice in a few weeks. Gray is starting up off season practice for the school lacrosse team (Joshua's too busy with basketball).
And that's November! Here we come, December!!
